Incoming Tide

The election one month ago was a clear message from the American people. It's about time our leaders stand up against the lobbyist and big corporations that have controlled our government for too long.
The Republicans lost because the middle class was tired of the Republicans turning their back on them. I am a hard working American who struggles to get by, all the while not getting any help from the politicians that I elected to serve. I want our leaders to take action to help people like myself keep up and maybe even get ahead.
For six years the Republicans have pushed the anti-working class agenda that enriched corporations and the wealthy while neglecting even punishing working people. The last six years has been a sell out but now the rubber stamp has been revoked. In the next 24 months the incoming tide will bring waves of change. Maybe just maybe I will be able to stand on the beach and once again see a deep blue sea.
