Horns and Boys

     If your a sports fan living in Central Texas the remainder of your year is going to be terrible.  More than likely your a Dallas Cowboy and Texas Longhorn fan and there doesn't seem to be any bright spots for this year's Fall season.  In a state were some high schools have 20,000 seat football stadiums it does not take a dummy to realize Texans love their sports.
     Previously living in Dallas and currently living in the Austin area you know where my loyalty stands.  Every year the expectations   are sky high for the Horns and Boys then reality sets in and all the air goes out of the football.  The last three seasons the Boys  were 8 & 8 and the Horns didn't fare much better and it loks as though this year's season for both teams will be even worse.  For years it's been a total embarrassment to be a fan of either team but that won't stop their fan of which I an one from watching the Boys every Sunday between now and the new Year's holiday.  Nor will it slow down the sell of burnt orange Horn's  t shirts.  Maybe all the Horns and Boys fans should look on the bright side, there's always next season to look forward to.   As Fall drags into Winter football fans from all around will cheer for their favorite teams and as always there will be winners and losers.  Oh well, the cheerleaders seem to be getting younger and more beautiful the older I get.  At least my libido is going to have a good season and that's more than I can say for the Horns and the Boys.
