Temper Tantrum Hissy Fit Meltdown

Thinking of myself as a polite, sensitive and understanding person there are times when my attitude needs a little work in all those areas.  Not being a parent has it's bad and good sides but being cornered  by a three year old screaming meanie will test anyone, parent or not.  I probably take those screaming meanies a little too seriously.   Surely I was never a hand full of hurricanes while riding in my mother's shopping cart.  Surely I was a cool laid-back baby, ridding in that cart as though it was a Ferrari.   That coolness probably came because Mom let me have any cereal I wanted.   Back then no one ever dreamed sugar was bad for kids so I demanded Sugar Crisps and Frosted Flakes and got them every time.  Now days kids run up and down the grocery isle begging  Mom to buy boxes of cardboard sugar disguised as cereal.  Modern Mom always says no then throws a couple boxes of Cheerios into the shopping cart.  No wonder grocery stores are full of exploding hissy fits.
My attitude towards all those child volcanoes is  a little humiliating but what am I to do?  Don't tell me I need to have a coupe of kids!  Becoming a parent would be emotional draining, something I might never recover from.  By now you probably think I'm a heartless bastard.  I'm not demanding every Mom strap a muzzle on their munchkin or even threaten them with a straight jacket.  Simply put those Cheerios back on the shelf and throw a couple boxes of Frosted  Flakes into the cart, the world will be a quieter place.  Bribery is the best policy!
Parenting is the easiest thing in the world to have an opinion on but the hardest thing in the world to do.  Kids will be kids, their going to have a meltdown every once in a while.  Hell, I'm 62 and still have meltdowns every once in a while.  Maybe I meed to start eating more Sugar Crisps and Frosted Flakes instead of that bowl of oatmeal I eat most mornings.
