Colonel Klink in disguise

Mack Brown finally has had a heavy cross lifted from his back. He is no longer one of the highest paid coaches in America to have never won a national championship. He has beaten the odds and even Oklahoma. All season he has corralled the Longhorn's focus and got them to stay the course. Brown deserves a lot of the credit for this Texas team. Overnight it seems Brown has turned from Colonel Klink to General Sherman. There has never been any question about Mack's character or integrity, nor his recruiting. He has built a winning program as well as anyone could but up until last years win over Michigan in the Rose Bowl, the legitimate complaint was he could not win the big game.
Let's not forget the players. They must be fully prepared for the long march of each season, without them and their determined march, Mack Brown would have no program. In this X-Box/Play Station generation it's hard to keep the mind of a twenty year old focused.
It's time for Mack Brown to put his Colonel Klink uniform back into the closet and dust off his General's stars. If he continues on the same march and let's be frank, if Vince Young stays, Mack will be able to ware his General's uniform once again next year. Mack is no Darrell but who cares, Texas has won the national championship.

I am so happy for Mack that he is a winner, but without a team, he would be no one, just remember that!! The whole team is the winner here, not just Mack and Vince.......
I sure hope Vince will stay and make it another great year !!
    GO HORNS !!!!!!!!!!!!
