The biggest longhorn of them all has chosen not to except any cactus the university has to offer. Instead he will move on to greener pastures of the NFL where he can buy all the hay he wants.
Vince Young decided to skip his senior year and enter the NFL draft so fast it looked like a stampede. Maybe he is thinking too small. He should by pass his NFL career and apply for immediate induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Young's stock could never be any higher than it is now so why not declare for the draft! It is the right decision for him. Let's face it, college football is big business just like the NFL. The only difference is a player like Vince is not paid for his talent because of NCAA rules. If he stayed at Texas and were to suffer a terrible accident that ended his football career the University would not financially support him for the rest of his life but a NFL contract sure would.
The only thing Vince gets from staying another year at Texas is a complete college education. An education that is valued at $50,000 which he can buy with his first weekly NFL check. To all the academic elite who say Vince's decision sets a terrible example for other college athletes I say "bull". The time has long passed that college sports is about people getting a good education
I agree with the BULL !!! I think he made the right choice..what if he would have stayed,,,and hurt himself....wow then where would he be in life!!
