Talk Talk Talk! For decades that's all America ever got when it came to fixing the broken health care system. Every time the subject came up for debate, special interest groups stalled the reform while the cracks in the health care system turned into craters. I sure hope things will turn out differently this time around.
Controlling cost, guaranteed coverage at a reasonable price and providing choice for every American is a must if America wants to empower it citizens against the special interest that have stalled medical reform every time it has been brought fourth.
Change is never easy for anyone but I don't think the status quo understands what is at stake for the country. They sure know how to score points in Washington but they are shooting their self in the foot when it comes to their opposition against health care reform. If they continue their fierce unwarranted opposition not only will they get a bullet in one foot, Dr Obama will amputate both of their feet.
The health care status quo is unsustainable for families, businesses and the nation as a whole. Too many citizens are one illness or accident away from losing every thing. If you have insurance now your premiums have doubled over the last ten years and they are going to double again in less than ten years. You will pay more and receive less. If you have medical insurance through your employer it will become so expensive for your employer to continue the benefit that your employee health plan will be severely reduced or canceled.
The poor and uninsured have always complained about health care but their voices have been drowned out by special interest. Now the middle class is beginning to step into the same craters the poor and uninsured have always fallen into. America can't afford to wait any longer, the craters on the road to health care reform must be filled now. Taking two aspirins and waiting until morning is not a viable prescription in the 21st century. Fixing the health care system has never been so critical and has never been more squarely within our reach. Now is the time to make medical reform a reality.
I pay a $$$$$$$ for medical insurance...and it keeps going up.....if it doubles...I guess I will stand in line like everyone else...
