My Birthday

     In a few days I'll put another candle on the old birthday cake, 63 candles to be exact.  Expectations and attention are always feelings to look forward to but on one's birthday those feeling are magnified. Birthdays are filled with emotions of all kinds and that's what makes the day special.
     This one day of the year may slip up on some folks but not myself.  Planing well in advance is apart of my character so I know where I'll be and what I'll be doing on that spacial day well in advance of placing  those 63 candles on the cake.  Music, learning and a swim will fill the birthday this year.  I'll buy myself some physical presents but mostly just making it another year is really all the present needed
     Young at heart, nostalgic, happy, sad and maybe indifferent will be feelings experienced through the day.  But like I said "making it another year" is simply gratitude enough.  Now if I could only gather enough wind to blow out all those candles.
