My two cents

How can anyone ascertain something is forever? Well the Post Office can. This reminds me of when my parents told me to eat all my carrots or I would forever have bad eye sight. But Mom, can't I just skip them and get glasses when I need em.
If I use less stamps the Post Office will have to handle less mail ensuring they will lose less money hence there should never be a need for me to buy any Forever stamps. Besides if the stamps were truly forever, one should be able to reuse them. Just tell me how to get them back, I enjoy recycling just as much as the next person.
As usual I was caught with a few stamps displaying the old rate and had to buy a few two cent stamps. Even when I get rid of all those I won't buy any Forever stamps. All the Forever stamp does is make me realize the Post Office has more price increases in the future. I don't want to think about these increases until they happen because every time the price of a stamp goes up two cents my blood pressure goes up two points. No price increase no heart attack, sounds good to me.
Maybe it's time I start paying my bills online, that would teach the Post Office a lesson. Stamps have not changed nor has the service. They are not new and improves so how can the Post Office justify a two cent increase. I really think the price should decrease instead of increase but that highly unlikely! To make matters worse, the increases started on a Monday. I guess the Public Relations department of the Post Office forgot that everybody hates Mondays, we're already mad before we lick our first stamp. If I had been the PR man for the Post Office I would have suggested the increase start at 5 PM on a Friday. Almost everybody has happy hour on their mind at that time and with the thought of having to pay $3.50 for a beer, two cents would seem like chump change.

I agree with you ,,,the price of a stamp is a joke....but IF you were to by the forever stamp right now @ .41
the lady at the post office said it will be good FOREEVER !!! When the mail is still being delivered 200 years from now this .41 stamp will still be good and everyone else will pay,,,,,lets say $5.00 or so....I do not want to tie my money up in .41 stamps now....OK so much for my soap box today!!
