Doomed to Fail

The Congressional  Super Committee was suppose to come up with a financial  plan to get America out of the mess it's in.  But in reality the only plan that was really ever up for debate was entitled "Doomed to Fail".  The current state of affairs in Washington is so bad that only an idiot with their head in the sand thought the bipartisan committee had the best interest of America and it's citizens first and foremost.
Republicans and Democrats live in different worlds yet both have in common the inherited right to blame each other.  Kicking the can down the road seems to be a favorite game for both parties.  When are they going to understand that having one's cake and eating it too never works for very long.  One can't consume something whilst  in the mist of trying to manage it.
Eventually America will have to match spending and revenues.  It's the process and equation  used to arrive at that balance which is in question.  One of these days, one side or the other will get a mandate from the majority of America.  Which side that will be is still up for debate but then and only them will America's  budget problems be resolved.  "Doomed to Fail", no I have a little more faith in America than that.  Will we pay higher taxes and receive less social services?  Yes  probably so but neither America nor the process that created it will fail.
