Memorial Day

Most Americans usually have big plans for Memorial Day.  Somewhere in the mist in all the cookouts  and family fun we all should  take the time to remember what Memorial Day is really about.  It's not about some unbelievable sale at our favorite store or remembering to buy enough beer and wienies.   It's about remembering all those who died protecting our freedom.
Memorial Day has developed into a summer kickoff.  Pools open and kids seem to be everywhere while the holiday seems to have drowned into an obscurity of sorts.  I'll bet you could ask 100 Americans it they know you are suppose to pause at 3 PM on Memorial Day and 99 would ask"what far".  Memorial Day represents a simple and unifying way to commemorate America's history of honoring the struggle it takes to protect our freedom.  When the clock strikes 3 PM on Memorial Day set your beer down and stop shoving hotdogs into your mouth.  Give thanks for your freedom and those who died protecting  it.
