It's perfectly clear right, I'm referring to the Bible. There is only one God and he agrees with you every time or that's how most of us interrupt the Bible. Too many are first to blame God when things go against their beliefs. Such a fall back strategy of "If it was meant to be it will be because it's God's will" must be somewhere in the Bible right!
Of the seven billion people on this earth, a little over one billion are Catholic. Does that mean God is Catholic and the rest of us non Catholics must play by catholic rules? If non Catholics dare buck the rules are their souls doomed to damnation? Just because my personal beliefs stray from those Catholic teachings that does not make me a bigger sinner than the next guy, we are all sinners. Nor does it mean God and I are not on the same page. The Shield of Religion is excellent when it comes to rationalizing our thinking and behavior even when our second thoughts are hollering "WRONG". It's really outlandish we use the Bible as an excuse for anything but with personal interpretation we seem to think the Bible gives us the right to do and think as we please.
The Bible is a book of religion not a book of law but then again who among us doesn't want to make their own rules. To be clear I'm not saying religion shouldn't be used in finding the meaning of one's life. I am simply saying all the Shields of Religion are not made from the same material.
