Short Memory
Republicans officially took control of Congress last Tuesday. The election results seem to vindicate their no compromise strategy. Six years ago when President Obama was elected, the voters were hopeful there would be change in their lives. Four years ago they were still undecided and willing to give the future a little more time. Two years ago hope started to fade causing most Americans with short memories to become angry and showed that anger in the voting booth. I won't deny the average Joe's income is stagnant and his standard of living is declining even though he has a job now where as he was out of work six years ago. But for those of money, the last six years has been fantastic. What's really shocking is Tuesday's voters showed they think the Republicans have a better plan for the economy. Americans have such memories! Trickle Down Economics has failed miserable more than once in the last thirty years and it will fail once again once the Republicans instigate such a better that sliced bread policy. Money rules today's politics and most money in America lies in the hands of white over the age of 50 voters who only care about their own sandbox. Mark my word, the Republicans are well on their way to another version of a failed Trickle Down Economic devastation. But not before they send our sons and daughter into another war and walk all over the poor and unfortunate in an attempt to pay for that war. The voters have spoken and although I don't agree with the election results I did my civic duty and voted. That is all I can really do.
