Concentration of Nerds

     The First half of the South by Southwest festival is all about tech , film and new technology.  It's no surprise that every nerd if they had their wish would be in Austin Texas for SXSW.  I'm one of those closet nerds not wanting to admit to my nerdiness but forcefully having to admit I fall into that category.
     The South by Southwest nerd headquarters was the Austin Convention Center.  Walking through the convention center I was hard pressed to find a theme for this years SXSW.  Unlike other years where Twitter, Foursquare, Periscope or streaming video sites got their start this years claim to fame was an address by President Obama.  There was talk on artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles and online privacy but I did not hear about any new breakthroughs that were expected to go mainstream tomorrow.   About the only thing I thought about when leaving the Austin Convention Center was where can I get one of those famous Austin tacos.
