The Greatest

Muhammad Ali died last Friday and will be buried today.  He was 74 years of age.  Ali was the most captivating sports personality of my lifetime.  In my opinion he was the greatest boxer in the history of the sport.
Many will morn his passing and eulogize his accomplishments.  Not only was he the greatest boxer of all times, he was a giant in the Civil Rights movement, transforming the way Americans treated race.  Dancing and jabbing his way through the Civil Rights movement, some thought he was a loudmouth, a narcissist and a clown but most Americans would have traded places with him.  He had a very different attitude for the time in America when everything was either white or black.  Yes he was a noisy fellow but I liked him  because he never backed down and stood for a lot of the things I believed in while growing up in a black and white America
What made Muhammad Ali the greatest wasn't just his fancy footwork or powerful punches.  He was the greatest because he helped everyone he could, uniting all mankind through faith and love.  He will be remembered not only for his life in the ring but as a leader and a champion of all people white, black, brown or any color.  He was simply "The Greatest of all Times"
