Both political parties have chosen their Vice Presidential candidate for the 2008 election but does it really matter who the candidates are? I have never figured out why America does not get a chance to elect the Vice Presidential candidates just as it does for the Presidential candidates. Both the Republican and Democratic parties might as well name their Presidential candidate's wife to the VP spot because the VP selection usually makes little difference.
The Democratic Presidential candidate's wife is usually portrayed as a power wife, independent and ambitious. She is busy with mergers and acquisitions yet manages to get to her daughter's soccer matches at the local school district while reminding everyone her husband still takes out the trash. On the other hand, the Republican Presidential candidate's spouse is viewed as homier with interest focused on husband and health. Every night she slides her slippers under the bed with out disturbing her unmovable hair all the while planing her children's breakfast and laying out the uniforms of their private school.
If the Presidential candidate chose his wife for the VP spot we would not need to know how the VP candidate stood on foreign policy, the economy or the war in Iraq. All we would to know is can she cook. God forbid we would ever hear "If you don't like it don't eat it, fix it yourself". Cooking abilities should not be required for her to achieve self fulfillment in the Vice Presidential spot because she will be sleeping with the most powerful man on the planet. That fact alone puts her in a pleasurable position if you know what I mean. Besides I think the White House already employs a pretty good chief so maybe the Presidential candidate's wife should stick to baking cookies.
Please stop with all this POLITICAL crap!!!!!!!
