Voices of Cynics Become a Distant Echo

The United States of America is engaged in a great debate about the future of health care. Most of the attention has been focused on the loudest voices. Voices of cynics and naysayers who continue to exploit fear and only have concerns for political gains are doing a pretty good job of drowning out the voices of compassion and common sense. Soon the voices of millions of Americans who struggle every day with a system that works better for the health care companies than it does for them will be heard. Not only will medical reform help the uninsured and under insured but it is just as important for those Americans who have full health coverage.
Health care reform should not be about politics, it should be about people and their livelihood. We should be able to look back and say we made a difference, giving our children a better life through unrestricted health care for all. This is the right choice, the only choice a compassionate America should ever consider.
Such a debate will always be filled with people who are in favor of reform and those who have grave concerns. But Both sides understand something has to be done. The real loser of the debate will be those who champion the prospect of doing nothing. Reform will bring stability and security for every American. If you don't have health care you will be able to get affordable coverage. If you already have coverage, it will bring down skyrocketing cost and give severely reduced prescription drug cost to everyone. Reform will finally hold insurance companies accountable. No longer will they be able to deny coverage because of your medical history nor will they be able to drop you when you become sick. Everyone will get routine checkups and preventive care, something that should been required long ago.
None of these reforms is going to put the government in charge of your health care as the fear mongers would have you believe. Your health care will be between you and your doctor. The bureaucrats nor the insurance companies will be able to make those decisions for you. No American should die because they could not afford health care nor should they go broke because they got sick.
This is what medical health care reform is about, it's what America is about! Soon, common sense and compassion will drown out the voices of cynics, delegating their fear mongering into a distant echo.
