The NRA Is Full Of Baloney

     Gun laws in America are akin to a bucket with holes in it's bottom. No matter how much water you put in the bucket you can never get the bucket full.  American gun laws will never stop people who should not have guns from having them.  The only real way to stop gun  violence is to ban all hand guns.  Long guns I am OK with, they are mostly used for hunting but hand guns should only be for the hands of the police.  The argument that Americans need guns to protect themselves is a bigger joke than the gun laws themselves.  I am not for banning all guns just hand guns and fully  automatic long guns.
     No matter how large the massacre is or  how many people are murdered by hand guns each year, the American gun lobby is quick to say "take my guns away over my cold dead body".  Even after the Sandy Hook  massacre where dozen of little children were murdered, the NRA held firm.  In the recent Church massacre in South Carolina the shooter should have never been able to obtain a gun because of his prior drug convictions and pending felony charge.  Dylann Roof bought the hand gun he used to kill nine people  at gun store in the same city where he committed the massacre. A bucket full of holes for sure.
     The facts are that the reason gun owners own guns is because they want and like them.   Every gun owner I know owns several gun.  I guess they think America is going to be invaded by a foreign  power. or maybe someone is going to break into their house and steal their baloney.  What is true is that overwhelmingly when hand guns are used they are used to murder people rather than for self defense.
