A Cloudy Window In A Bumpy World

Shiny  new things are always tempting especially when they are free.  Microsoft is giving away it's new operating system, who could resist right.  Any computer running Windows 7 or 8 will be able to download a free copy of Windows 10  until July 2016.  If you have read my blogs over the years you know they don't call me Mr Free for nothing.  I love getting free stuff and do a pretty good job filling up my life with free stuff of all kinds but I will be passing up Microsoft's freebie for the time being.
     Windows 10 has a ton of bugs and just two weeks after Microsoft made the free download available, Microsoft issued seven security patches for Windows 10.  All the patches Microsoft issues for their systems is one of the biggest reasons your computer slows to a crawl over time.  If you choose to take Microsoft up on their freebie I suggest you wait at least until late October if not until the summer of 2016.  During October Microsoft will issue a huge patch for Windows !0 that may help the system operate better.  As usual Microsoft rushed Windows 10 out the door half backed just as they did with Millennium and Vista. but Microsoft wanted to catch the back to school season so out the door Windows 10 came.
     I've always thought the Windows operating system was a disaster waiting to happen.  Seems like every time you start your computer, Microsoft is issuing a patch of some kind.  Just like a road that gets patched over and over, the road eventually gets bumpier than hell.    The two  Window 7 computer I own may be the last Microsoft operating system that I ever own.    If it ain't broke don't mess with it is what I say so no Windows 10 download for me.  The Windows 7 operating system is good to go until late 2020 and that's just fine with me.
     For the last several weeks I've been using Google's Chrome operating system on an Asus Chromebook.  Google's operating system will do just about every thing I need and want to do on a computer for a lot less money and certainly a lot less headaches.  The best thing about Google's Chrome operating system is that it's window never gets cloudy and it's road never gets bumpy.
