An Incovenient Truth

The Nobel Prize is not supposed to be connected to any political agenda but everyone knows it is. It has been used more than once to convey disdain for policies of governments. This year the Nobel committee presented the peace prize to Al Gore for his tireless and effective effort in alerting the world to the rising dangers of global warming. Should a man who has gotten this far be thinking his journey is not complete? Should he be thinking about the Oval Office instead of the melting ice in Antarctica?
There are times for Politicians and times for Heroes, the Earth needs a Hero right now. The climate crisis is not a political issue, it's a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity. America will always be full of critics. People who will always say the doer of good deeds could have done better. I am not among them! I give credit to a man who actually is in the Global Warming arena. A man who's face is marred from political sweat. A man who has come up short before yet strives valiantly and knows there is no effort with out error.
