Austin is the most liberal city in the state of Texas, maybe that's why I like it so much. It's the only city in the state where a women can legally go topless if she chooses. It' also the only place in the state that has a public park and swimming area where clothes are optional. Now I don't think you can get any more liberal that that! It's also the city with the most Gender-Neutral restrooms. The city's citizens are not confused. They know which sex they are but when it comes to restrooms they really don't care where they drop their pants. When you got to go you've got to go and that's all that matters.
Gender-Neutral or one stall restrooms are everywhere in Austin and I never hesitate to use one when nature calls. I just wish they would change the signs on all those Gender-Neutral restrooms. I'll admit I get a little nervous when I see both male and female silhouettes on the door. Those silhouettes should be replaced with the words " when you got to go you've got to go"
Yes, Austin is a liberal city. Sometimes living in Austin is almost like living in the land of OZ, the only thing missing is the Yellow Brick road. I'm sure that road exist in Austin, I just have not found it yet but I'm looking. The next time I exit a Gender-Neutral restroom and encounter a bare breasted women waiting her turn I'll remember what Dorothy said "there's no place like home".
