Everyone knows you no longer have to own a typewriter to be considered a publisher. Today all one needs is a computer to publish almost anything one wants. So is every publisher a journalist? The answer to that question is somewhat debatable.
Journalist are usually recognized by a set of professional standards Although those standards vary and in my case those standards are as wide as the Mississippi River yet they are standards in any journalist's eyes just the same. With no academic training in this field I tend to share my stories in compelling ways rather than pursuing the truth and nothing but the truth so am I a journalist? The blogs I write compete with everyday media. They will never be among the internet superhighway's most popular but that really does not matter. I write because of all the creativity it requires and because I am granted the right of free speech under the First Amendment.
Judge me if you must but judge me with a loose set of standards or you could find yourself the subject of one of my rants or raves.
