The Republican GOP plan to dismantle or seriously weaken social programs would be a serious setback after almost a century of progress. Where would the poor, middle class and elderly be if it were not for programs like Social Security, Medicare, and unemployment insurance? Programs such as community health centers, school lunches and food stamps have been a god send for the poor yet the GOP candidate for President said he is not worried about the poor. What Mr Romney really said was "I didn't give a rat's ass about the poor, we let them eat all the cheese they want".
It does not surprise me that such a man is out of touch with 99% of Americans. In the course of twelve months Mr Romney made $375,000 from speaking engagements and when pressed about such an amount he said $375,000. was not very much money. In the past two years he has made more than 20 million dollars each year. Does the average $40,000 a year Joe really think a $20 million dollar man can relate or even began to understand all the trials and tribulations of everyday life in America? Wake up Joe, they are trying their hardest to hide your cheese. Such a cheese hiding policy is crafted from a self centered mentality of do it my way or No Cheese For You. I like cheese as much and maybe even a little more than the next person but taking away my cheese is not going to shut me up. I know a trap when I see one and I hope the rest of America does also.
