The Power of Pink

The decision by the Komen Foundation to end funding for Planned Parenthood was reprehensible.  It's easy to see right wing anti abortion extremist had their hands all over this shameful decision.  Which ever way you side on this controversial issue, politics should never play a roll in the hotly debated issue of abortion.
At first the Foundation's trademark color pink seemed nowhere in sight.  Red State right wing politics placed women's health in jeopardy when they pushed to deny funding to Planned Parenthood.  As soon as that denial was issued, the color of pink began to roar and the roar was loud and clear!  After only three days the Komen Foundation reversed it's decision to eliminate funding to Planned Parenthood.  Even with such a fast reversal I don't know it the Susan G Komen Foundation  can ever recover it pristine reputation.  The Foundation suffered a grievous and perhaps mortal fate that may cause all those pink ribbons to be hung somewhere other than their usual spot.
All Americans share in the fight against cancer.  The decision by the Komen Foundation to reverse  their decision and restore funding to Planned Parenthood  was a huge win for the women who will now be able to get breast cancer screenings.  The voices of pink were loud and clear "Politics has no place in denying the  health  of any woman".
