Predicting the Weather

The weather in Texas can change in a minute.  The old saying "If you don't like the weather just wait a few minutes and it will change"  is piratically true in Central Texas.  This year's weather seems to be stranger than most.  We've had several days and even complete weeks where the temperature reached 80 degrees and above during the month of December.  This weather pattern seems more like late Spring than early Winter.  Don't get me wrong, I love wearing shorts when ever I can but not in the weeks leading up to Christmas.  If things don't change we won't see people rushing to get out of the chill very often this year.
Predicting the weather in times when Global Warming is at play is hard for all the television weather people much less a weather novice like myself.  My neighborhood is over thirty miles from the nearest television station so relying on any TV weather man or woman who's embraced by his or her viewers is nothing more than a chance at getting wet from an unexpected shower.  I don't like getting caught in the rain so I took matters into my own hands and bought a weather station for my house.  At least I'll know the correct temperature, humility, dew point and barometric readings if I get caught in the rain.  A television weather man I am not but at least now I've got just as good a chance at predicting the weather as any television weather man.
