You're Sick and Now You're Going to Die

The  83rd Texas Legislature has finally come to a close and will not convene for another two years.  The Republican controlled body two stepped with Governor Perry in not accepting the Federal Government's expansion of the Affordable Healthcare Act.  Government officials of every major Texas city along with all the State's major health care providers we not able to convince Republican lawmakers to set aside their opposition  and expand Medicaid.
1 in 4 Texans have no medical coverage.  Under the Federal Affordable Healthcare Act the Federal Government would pay the entire cost of the expansion for the first three years and 90% of the cost after that.  Texas would have to spend $1 billion and in return would receive $27 billion from the Federal Government over the first three years of the program.   If I told you to give me $1 and I would give you back $27 you would be a fool not to take me up on my offer.  Governor Perry says he doesn't trust the Federal Government to pay as promised, I think he is wrong.
