I am not a huge fan of making New Year's Resolutions. It's all to easy to cast them into the trash so why even start the year by saying "this year is going to be different" ? By the time March 1st comes along the resolution wastebasket is usually filled with discouragement but we tell ourselves we gave it our best shot.
The same resolutions seem to be on every one's list year after year. Spend less, save more, pay off debt, get healthier, lose weight, repair problem relationships, help others more and the list goes on and on. I guess the one I start with every year is "spend less". Keeping such a resolution until March is not too hard but by June there is always something I can't live without. I lie to myself saying "I waited until it went on sale" but I really know my New Year's Resolution of spending less is in the waste basket.
Oh well, there is always next year. Maybe I'll pick a different resolution off the list for 2015. Lose weight, " that's not going to happen". Get healthier, "I'm dreaming burgers and fries better buy vitamins now". Paying off debt," not going to cancel even one credit card". Repairing problem relationships," it's their problem not mine I'm perfect". Helping others more," I can't even help myself 99% of the time". These are just a few of the reasons I am not a huge fan of New Year's Resolutions.
