It's just coincidence that we celebrate the most wondrous time of the year at year's end. As youngsters we are persuaded December 25th is a special day. The Christmas effect begins to take hold in September when we all make our wish list, causing the so called Sprint of Christmas to linger for several months. It's really not until Christmas day itself we celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. The faithful honor the birth of Jesus Christ as the son of God while Madison Avenue sells every thing from blenders to bicycles. The powerful and enduring story that God gave his only son so that men and women could have the gift of eternal life will always triumph the number of i phones Apple sells.
The human spirit is special. Something deep down inside us say every thing we know about Christmas is true. Whether voices are singing "O Come All Ye Faithful" or corporate choirs are singing "You need that special something to complete your life" Christmas is a special day
