Business vs Labor

     America is a Capitalist society.  There is nothing wrong with any Capitalist wanting to grow their profits but doing so on the backs of the daily worker at today's minimum  wage  is not fair to anyone.  Raising the minimum wage is long over due.  Business will tell you if the minimum wage is raised, fewer worker will be hired, that's simply BS. What their argument really amounts to is Maximum Greed vs Minimum Wage.  When low income labor makes more money they spend more.  In turn that spending raises all boats but most Capitalist  don't see it that way they seem to only want their boat in the sea of rising equality.  If you ask Americans if they think the minimum wage should be raised most will answer yes.  But big business has the money so they usually get what they want.  I expect the minimum wage will be raised in the future but the increase won't really be enough to bring anyone out of poverty.
