Once A Cheater Always A Cheater

     The NFL bloodhounds are on the trail.  Commissioner Goodell and his hounds are hunting for the lost air the New England Patriots supposedly let out of their game balls.  Bloodhound have a great sense of smell but trailing invisible air is going to be almost impossible.  I've got to call a delay of game penalty on this investigation. because the Commissioner seems to be holding his hound back until he hands over the Lombardi Trophy Sunday night.  America is going to be left wondering what the NFL knew and when they knew it.  Although the NFL says the investigation will be thorough and objective, my guess is the NFL will tell it's fans an invisible ball boy on a grassy knoll deflated the Patriot's footballs. Before this is all over it will be as bad as the Warren Commission,  people still believe their was another shooter on the grassy knoll.
     This whole Deflategate deal smells like a cover up to me.  The Quarterback selects all the balls he wants to use and now the Patriots Quarterback says he did not notice anything wrong with any of them.  He felt everyone of those balls and said none seemed to be under inflated.  That's a lot of hot air if you ask me!  The Patriot's coach made matters worse, saying he pays no attention to the footballs.  This guy is a control freak  who probably counts all the strips in the parking lot of Gillette Stadium before each home game so it's hard for me to believe the coach smells as good as a new born baby.How can an organization be so smart yet be so dumb that they get caught letting the air out of their footballs?  The answer is simple.  There is always one keystone cop in every caper who screws things up.
     Once a cheater always a cheater.  The Patriots apparently did not learn a thing the last time the NFL bloodhound   caught the team with their hands in the cookie jar.  The Commissioner's hounds caught the Patriots during the Spygate investigation fining the team $250,000 and the coach $500,000 plus took away one first round draft pick from the team.
     The image of the NFL is really what's at stake here.  The football will kicked off Sunday and it will be kicked off in next year's Super Bowl, correct air pressure or incorrect air pressure.  If you have as money money and clout as the National Football League does you can convince most American football fans there is no such phrase as "Once A Cheater Always A Cheater"  So line up, blow the whistle and kick the ball, I'm ready for the game to begin.
