Life is no Remote

     I am old enough to remember when televisions did not come with a remote control.  I am also old enough to remember when the only adjustment one could make to a television involved climbing up onto the roof of your house to physically turning the antenna in a different direction. Yes I am even older than the Internet.
     Everything comes with a remote control these days, entertainment systems, ceiling fans, automobiles, house alarms and yes even televisions.  But there is no remote control for life.  If we want something in our lives to change we have to change it ourselves.  The mail won't get itself we have to get it, food won't cook itself we have to cook it, the bills won't pay themselves we have to pay them.  No remote control can do any of those things, life doesn't  work like that. You are the only one who has control over your life so if there is something you don't like, get off your lazy ass and change it yourself. There are no remote controls or short cuts in life.  There is only change when you get up and get started.  What are you waiting for.
