Vaccinate Your Rug Rats

Measles is a highly communicable and potentially deadly illness.  Up until a few years ago the Unites States of America had near universal immunization against this illness.  But over the last few years anti vaccination advocates have placed their misinformed notions regarding measles immunization above the safety and lives of everyone else.  Now a measles outbreak has flared up in of all places, the home of the mouse.  The measles illness first discovered at Disneyland has now spread across the country.  Some parents would rather put their kids at risk of illness and cause America to experience a  possible epidemic than subject their rug rats to a perfectly safe antibody.  These 28-38 year old anti vaccine miss informed parents are too young to remember the Polio epidemic in 1952 that affected 58,000 leaving 21,000 disabled and 3100 dead  Parents that don't vaccinate their children against measles need to join modern civilization.   I am not calling for mandatory immunization because it's pure common sense that should cause all rug rats to be immunized.
The public health of the Nation must be protected.  Conflict between individual rights and the greater good will always be a fundamental argument in any democracy   But when it comes to private liberty vs the public good, it's a shame there is no vaccine for stupidly.
