Taco

If you live in Austin you have probably eaten a taco for breakfast,  lunch and dinner.  For a City who's claim to fame is BBQ and live music, the breakfast taco needs no introduction.  It was one of Austin's favorites long before brisket, beer and live music filled all the hipster's plates.  The breakfast taco started off as a Tex Mex staple but now it's sold in almost every kind of eatery.  The recipe is simple.  Take a flour  tortilla, stuff it with eggs, cheese and just about anything else.  It's cheap, fast and filling.
The classic breakfast taco consist of eggs, bacon and cheese wrapped in a flour tortilla but in Austin you find vegan friendly fillings to multi meat fillings.  The Breakfast taco is something you can eat any time you want whether your on the go or setting down at a table.
Some of America's best breakfast taco spots can be found in Austin.  A National rating service rated Austin's Torchy's  Tacos best taco joint in America.  Number 6 on the national taco list is Austin's Tacodeli.  Number 11 on the national list is Veracruz All Natural.  I tried them all, getting two tacos from each taco joint. The most expensive taco was $3.50 and the least expensive taco was $2.35.  Veracruz All Natural had the largest taco and were the best buy for the money.  Tacodeli had the smallest taco but also the cheapest taco.  Over all I was a little disappointed at all three taco joints.  The next time you want to buy breakfast order a plate breakfast, it's more expensive but way better and filling.  If I were going to get only one taco several times a week I would head to Veracruz All Natural. taco truck
