It's been a very long time since creating my first hand print turkey on brown paper. Probably sometime before enrolling in elementary school some adult in charge shoved a sheet of brown paper in front of me and proclaimed "we are all going to draw a turkey". If I was lucky they handed me craons but I seem to remember water color was involved. Either way you can assume I made a bigger mess than a real turkey would have.
Turkeys sold today are huge, way to big for a small family much less a single person. I enjoy the taste of turkey but one of the birds sold today would not even fit in my over much less my fridge. If I were to shove one of today's 20 pound turkeys into the fridge where is the green bean casserole and dressing suppose to go?
On Thanksgiving day hopefully I'll be among family at a table upon which a turkey will be setting. If this day there is no turkey is in site a brown paper turkey will do just as well. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE
