Everyone likes to save money but for some people a psychological barrier exist when they hear the word generic. I buy generic every chance I get what ever form it comes in. For the most part generic brands come from the same source as their name brand counter parts. Even when they differ slightly, the changes are so minimal that's it's hard to tell the difference. The fact that name brand products are more expensive than their generic twin counter part is a powerful influence when it comes to perceived taste and effectiveness. 99% of the time spending the extra money for name brand is a worthless attempt at propping up your self worth. So don't be afraid, take a chance on the cheaper generic.
Both cans contain 14.5 ounces of green beans. The can on the left is a generic brand and cost 50 cents. The can on the right is a name brand and cost 98 cents
