LBJ's America

Lyndon B. Johnson turned 109 a couple of weeks ago.  He was only in office a few years but got a lot accomplished.  His work still touches the lives of most Americans every day.  His most important accomplishment was signing into law the Civil Rights Act of 1964..  Every year I celebrate his birthday by visiting his Presidential Library and eating several pieces of his birthday cake.
The current United States President can't and never will be compared to LBJ.  I'll admit I'm a Democrat but I know a terrible  President when I see one and the current President is a terrible President..  OK so every thing about LBJ is not great but he was a heck of a lot better then President Trump.   Trump can't even get along with his own Party, something LBJ never had a problem doing.  Instead of uniting America as LBJ did, the current President is dividing America.

This year the cake was as good as always.  I took a little extra time to walk through the Library, looking at LBJ's life and how America was in 1964.  Some day President Trump will have a Library and they will probably serve cake on his birthday but I sure won't be eating of it.
