There's no disputing that the President of the United states has the power to pardon anyone he or she wants, well almost anyone. When it comes to pardoning himself or herself, that act is up for legal debate. No doubt the President has pardoning authority but such a pardon as President Trump recently made could cause him some political blow back. Some will say his pardoning of Sheriff Joe Arpaio was nothing more than a scheme to obstruct justice. The President spared the former Sheriff a jail sentence. OK so the Sheriff is 85 years old, you do the crime you do the time. I say throw the sheriff in jail and make him wear pink underwear just like the inmates in his jail were forced t wear.
