You know the Seasons are changing when Halloween rolls around. October 31st is a good time to remind yourself , it's time for the annual flu shot. Getting a flu shot has never bothered me. It's important for my health and the health of the people around me. I usually get the shot early sometime in September. A flu shot may inconvenience some people but for such a minimal cost it's a small price to pay for a flu free Fall and Winter. Most places charge $20 for the yearly shot but if one tries, a flu shot can be found at no charge.
It's been around 25 years since I've had the flu and for the past 20 plus years I've gotten a flu shot every year. In all those years I've never paid for one of those shots. The County I live in offers free flu shot clinics every year but as of this year Medicare pays for my flu shot so I can go any where to get the shot and don't have to wait on the free County flu clinic.
Before you start telling me "I never get the flu so why should I get a flu shot"? Just remember, people who get a flu shot are not only protecting themselves but all the people they come into contact with during flu season
