Trump's Hail Mary Pass

Long before Mr Trump was a politician he was a professional football club owner.  In the mid 1980s he owned the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League.  The USFL played their games in the Spring as oppose to the National Football League  who played their games in the Fall.  Mr Trump who was pretty much in total control of the USFL and of course had the league's marque players planned to go head to head with the NFL, playing his games at the same time and date as the NFL  Anyone with half a brain knew the all mighty and powerful National Football League was never going to stand for Mr Trump's Hail Mary pass..  All football fans know hail mary passes almost always fail.  Mr. Trump's pass was no exception.  The NFL crushed the USFL sending it into bankruptcy.  One would think Mr. Trump had had enough of the business of football but in 2014 he tried to buy the NFL Buffalo Bills.  He was out bid by another billionaire whom the National Football League club owners favored.  From that point on Mr Trump has held a grudge against the National Football League..  As recently as a couple of weeks ago he called the NFL's games boring and the players soft.  It's apparent his longstanding grudge of the NFL is still stuck in his crawl.  If it's one thing we've learned about Mr. Trump, it's he likes to settle old scores. Only time will tell if Mr. Trump completes his Hail Mary pass this time.
