Know Your Weight

The Winter holiday season is upon us.  It's the only time of the year a forgone conclusion that a five to ten pound weight gain has a real good chance of happening.  No one wants to be over wight but most of us are.  Some people get all worked up over a one pound weight gain while others look at a twenty pound gain as something they will put in the next  New Year's resolution.
I'm no different from the next person when it comes to weight.  More than a five pound gain sets of alarms but I usually don't do much about it.  Guess I'm lucky, the gain usually takes care of itself and in six months I'm back to my normal weight, usually between 178-183 with a body mass between 26-27.  But even today I don't know what my ideal weight is.
Lets face the facts, none of us will ever have that High School body again, humans are meant to change over time.  We don't go to bed slim and trim and wake up over weight.  The holidays are on the way so don't miss out on 95% of your life to weigh 5% less.  Eat that slice of pie, have a second helping of green bean casserole and dressing.  Enjoy the small pleasures of life I know I will.
