Martian Luther King Day

In a few days Martian Luther King's legacy will be celebrated.  He was a man of courage, dignity, compassion and humility.  The national holiday "Martian Luther King Day" is observed on the third Monday in January each year.
The Civil Right Movement in America has been a long slow and ongoing movement.  Whether some of us want to admit it or not, racial discrimination is alive and well in America.  There are a whole lot of people who talk the talk but don't walk the walk.  Monday's holiday honors the life of a man who championed for racial justice and equality.  A man who put his life on the line each and every day, eventually paying the highest price anyone can pay.
On Monday I'll honor his life as I march for racial justice and visit the LBJ Presidential  Library to view an exhibit on the Civil Right Movement of the 1960s
