Leave Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid Alone

     The Republicans have given massive tax cuts to Corporations and the wealthy. Today  Congress is scheduled to pass a massive budget that will create the largest deficit in history.   Now the Congressional Republicans and President Trump want to use the deficit they've created to justify huge cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.  All three of these programs are critical safety nets for the poor and working class.  Republicans like to call these programs "entitlements"  but Americans pay into these programs their whole life so how can the Republicans call them a give away?  It's really Americans own money they are getting back.
     If anything, these three safety nets should be strengthened not weakened.  That could be easy to do.  First let the ceiling on income subject to Social Security tax be eliminated.  Second, allow Medicare to negotiate with drug companies over prescription prices.  Third and most importantly make Medicare available to all not matter the age.
     Today's children are the future.  We need to say loud and clear to all members of Congress "Hands off Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, if you gut these programs we are going to vote you out of office".
