Every market in America sells rotisserie chicken inside a plastic housing setting under heat lamps. They are usually flavored with lemon, garlic or BBQ along with other spices but if you want one of the best birds in the hen house head to Sam's The Sam's birds are usually $2 cheaper and about twice as large as the ones found in Supermarkets. I don't buy one every time I go to Sam's but I probably should When I include a casserole made from left over bone meat, a Sam's bird usually makes 8-9 meals.. A Sam's $4.99 rotisserie chicken is one heck of a deal!

$4.99 Chickens
Why does Sam's only charge $4.99 for a 3 pound rotisserie chicken? The Sam's bird has been $4.99 for a very long time and I don't think they will ever raise the price. Americans eat a lot of chicken in one form or another but the 625 million rotisserie chickens annually in America sold through all kind of stores is almost unbelievable. That works out to two birds for every human in America, old and young. Sam's knows it's customers well and their rotisserie chickens even better. The store knows that the bird will make several meals so their customers are very likely to purchase other food items to serve with that three pound chicken.
