Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 AM on Sunday November 4th which means it's almost time to turn your clocks back one hour. We will be losing a hour of light in the evenings which is OK with me. The sooner it gets dark the better. We will be gaining an hour of sleep but not really.
This year is the 100th anniversary of Daylight saving Time. Back at it's inception it was meant as a way to conserve fuel needed for the war effort and to extend the working day. Well we are not at war and most of us try to work as little as possible so why do we still have daylight Saving Time? There are several so called reasons but I don't believe any of them. In my opinion the whole process is a hassle. The only thing Daylight Saving time does is disrupt my sleep. I'll be setting my clocks back a hour on November 4th but I'll do it begrudgingly.
