The stock market is in a tumble, corporate America is nervous and an economic slow down is almost assured. Trump's trade war with China is bad enough but now he's opened a second front in Mexico. A 25 percent tariff on everything coming from Mexico is going to hit Joe Public a lot harder than any tariff on Chinese products. How the hell are us Texans suppose to do without avocados for our guacamole or tomatoes and lettuce for our cheeseburgers? Thanks to President Trump it's beginning to look like we may have to take out a bank loan to pay for those avocados, tomatoes and lettuce. Did I mention bluejeans and cars, most of those come from Mexico also. What the heck!. I'll simply wear last years bluejeans another year longer and put another 20,000 miles on my old car. Messing with my guacamole and cheeseburgers is the last straw.
I can kind of understand the trade war with China, they have been screwing us with their State owned businesses for a long time but the 25 percent tariff on Mexican exports has nothing to do with business, it's all about keeping immigrants out of America. The United States Congress would not give the President the money he wanted for the Wall so now he's going to up the price on the avocados I need for guacamole and the tomatoes and lettuce I need for cheeseburgers. I guess that won't hurt the President, being a New Yorker he probably doesn't even know what guacamole is. Although by looking at our over weight President it looks as though he's consumed a few double cheeseburgers in his life time. Anyone living at the top of Trump Tower shouldn't have any problems paying a little more for those tomatoes and lettuce on their cheeseburgers but most of us don't live on the top of Trump Tower. Hey Mr President how about letting some of those immigrants in, at the least it would keep the price of my guacamole down and I would be able to order double tomatoes on my cheeseburgers.
