The Live Music Capital Of The World

     In Austin there is live music on almost every corner seven days a week.  Two of the biggest music festivals in America happen in Austin every year.  The Austin City Limits and the South By Southwest festivals take over the entire city.  South by Southwest generates $350 million for the City of Austin every year.  Personally I don't attend many if any of the Austin City Limits music concerts.  They are mostly all at one venue the festival itself is kind of expensive.  South by Southwest is scattered all over the city with lots of events and concerts that are free.  Every year I usually attend 12-15 South by Southwest concerts during the festival and have never paid a dime for any of them. This year the festival has been canceled due to the health scare that has hit the world including Austin
     This year the South by Southwest organization moved into their new 13 story building.  South by Southwest will take over the top two floors and lease out the rest.  The building has a lobby and coffee shop on the first floor but that's about all the general public has access to.  Seems to me they could have put their money to better use but with all the free music they give me, I'll let them spend their money the way they want to
