Buying An Automobile

Millions of automobiles are sold every year.  For many people, buying an auto is as easy as stopping at the local grocery story to pick up a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk but I'm not one of those people.  Buying an auto is a very big deal for me.  I usually wait until the last minute, forced into the process by my current auto falling apart in front of my eyes.  That's usually when the new auto fear factor comes into play.  The time to buy a car had finally arrived so I it was time to face my fears.
Lot of factors come into play when buying an auto.  #1 What are my wants vs what are my needs.  #2 Budget, how much to spend, cash, finance or both.  #3 Make and Model.  #4 Where to look and buy the auto.  My want was a new five door hatchback but that was out of my price range.  My needs have changed.  Since retirement I don't need a truck any more so a small four door sedan was  a better choice.  My annual mileage has gone from 13,000  to 6,000 miles. this would let me buy an auto with a few more miles on the odometer.  My budget was 10 to 13 thousand.  Make and Model.  I chose to look for a Toyota Corolla because of it's history of longevity and reliability.  Where to look and buy the auto. Since I had chosen a Corolla I started looking for the auto at a local Toyota dealership, one of the largest and oldest in Austin.  I ended up buying a 2015 Toyota Corolla  with 74,000 miles on it's odometer for $10,200, paying cash with no financing
The whole process was not as bad as I had feared.  The auto was nicer that I had expected and certainly less expensive than I had expected.  Now it's time to but a few miles on the auto and see it the Corolla's reputation is as reported.
