Baking Bread

     The first month of  COVID 19 finding bread in the grocery store was almost impossible and finding flour to bake bread was just as hard.  I still have not had any luck finding four but having a little on hand I thought I would try making some basic bread.  Basic is the key word, salt, flour, baking powder and water. 
     There is something fundamentally human about bread baking.  Human history has been baking bread as long as there has been civilization  Sounds kind of crazy but all that dough moving through one's hands can be a mind relaxing experience. 
     Flour, water, salt and baking powder, I was ready to begin baking.  Thinking any attempt would turn into a brick like disaster or in my case a flying Frisbee I started looking for my rolling pin.  I'll admit I got flour everywhere but

was pleasantly surprised, turning out bread so good I ate most of it  in a few days.  Yes is was just basic flat bread but it served it's purpose.  I would bake some more but still have not been able to buy flour in any stores.  Last week the stores finally had bread so my baking days may be over for now.  At least I know I can make my own bread if I have to.
