Life After Lockdown

Businesses are reopening but I am not going to many of them.  I guess one week or one month more of lockdown would not make much difference but I am not taking any chances.  Even the University of Texas thinks it will be OK to have 50 thousand students returning in late august.  The University had ten of it's cleaning crew test positive for COVID 19 .  If the cleaning crew test positive how the hell does the University think they can keep 50 thousand student healthy?   The grocery store is about the only place I'll go and even then I use curb side pick up to buy groceries 95% of the time.
The lockdown started out for a two week period but eventually went to over two months but I'm not sure even two months is enough.  I'm just glad I don't have to make a choice  whether to return to school or work.  I been able to ride out the lockdown in a neighborhood about 16 mile from normal civilization.  With an occasional trip to the doctor's office and grocery store, I've managed just fine staying in my neighborhood.  I have no problem waiting until a vaccine for COVID is available before before  resuming normal activities.   Relaxing lockdown restrictions is more of a political act than an epidemiological act.  Today's world is a whole lot different for the one I grew up in but as the saying goes.  LIFE GOES ON.
