Self Checkout

     It's been a while since I've been in an actual store and even longer since using a traditional checkout lane.  Using a self checkout lane where you can scan, pay and bag without encountering a cashier is so much better than traditional checkout system.  Don't get me wrong I don't want any of the cashiers to lose their jobs but progress marches on.  Different stores have different rules for self checkout but all are easy to use.  Even better are the scan and go apps.  Sam's has a scan and go app that lets you pay for the item as you place it in your cart as you travel the store.  When you finish shopping you just walk out of the store without going through any kind of checkout lane.
     I'll admit the first time I used any kind of self checkout I was  a little nervous that I'd screw something up but after watching a few people go through the process I gave it a try and have never looked back.  The only thing better than self checkout is ordering online and letting Amazon, FedEx or UPS  deliver the item to your door.  Another shopping experience I really like is curbside pickup. This service the store employee gets your items then out to your car, it's a fantastic service.  It really does not matter which method you use to shop, do what suits your needs.
