Every year I look at an imaginary stack of Christmas cards with thoughts of sending the cards to all those I know and love. Okay that's a cheesy reason to send cards. How about, I'll be taking the opportunity to remind love ones I am glad their in my life. I am not buying that reason either. Um lets see, what about sending cards might make me look good, yes I'll go there. Lets keep in mind, in all seriousness that Christmas cards are a very thoughtful extension of one's self. In an age of all things digital, a hand written envelope is the best present one can ever unwrap. I will never set down and write Christmas cards to all my friends and love ones but at least I am honest about it.
Every year I get unexpected Christmas cards and think, Oh I should send a card in return but I never do. That's really not a reason to send a card anyway. If you are reading this post, don't run to your mail box expecting to find a card from me. I do not want you to think I am Mr Scrooge or that I am the Grinch who stole Christmas so here is a holiday message for you.
Thanks for lending me your time, I am truly grateful.
May the holidays find you healthy, happy and hopeful.
May your New Year be filled with excitement, surprises and all the passion required to see your dreams through.
My very best
Brent
You're not a scrooge just because you don't send Christmas cards. You're a scrooge cause you don't want to buy a stamp! However a simple Merry Christmas muttered from your vocal chords is enough for me!!! Is that too much to ask for????????????? ybb
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you too Brent. I am enjoying your site, I get to keep up with you. Have a very happy, joyous and free New Year.
